Editing Current Programing
After the robot ring to battle in was moved to a lighter spot i had to change the settings on the light sensor by calibrating it and testing the light on the ring then editing my light sensor to only rotate when sensing the black inside of the ring.

Programming/Testing
After programming my robot I tested its light sensor on the outlines of the ring and it wasnt picking up the light properly so it kept going over the edge which in a battle would cause me to lose. I then had to calibrate the sensor so it would pick up the correct light and stop my robot from leaving the ring and losing. after testing my robots ultrasonic sensor on josh and charles' robot i had to change my sensor and angle it more towards the ground because of his robots low centre of gravity.

Extra changes
After realising that my robots ultrasonic sensor was too straight and not angled down far enough i pulled apart the sensor and added extra pieces to aim the sensor towards the ground about 20 cm away hopefully picking up any robot which are low to the ground.

Final Robot is Built, Time to program it

after testing my robot with no ultrasonic sensor i realised that it had to have one aswell as having a weapon/ defending machanism, i used a plow like thing so that my robot can attack.
After finishing the building of my robot its time to program it so that I can battle with it and have a slight chance of beating richards stupid robot. my robot now has an ultrasonic sensor and also a wall to push other robots away.

Creating the base of my robot

Today I created a base for my robot. This was just me practicing how to build and program them.
I created my robot by following the instructions in the book that comes with the Lego Mindstorm Kit. I then altered it a bit by adding two sensors and played around with the programming of it.
My robot is too top heavy so i will need to alter it a bit.
