Editing Current Programing

After the robot ring to battle in was moved to a lighter spot i had to change the settings on the light sensor by calibrating it and testing the light on the ring then editing my light sensor to only rotate when sensing the black inside of the ring.

Programming/Testing

After programming my robot I tested its light sensor on the outlines of the ring and it wasnt picking up the light properly so it kept going over the edge which in a battle would cause me to lose. I then had to calibrate the sensor so it would pick up the correct light and stop my robot from leaving the ring and losing. after testing my robots ultrasonic sensor on josh and charles' robot i had to change my sensor and angle it more towards the ground because of his robots low centre of gravity.

My Robot is fully tested and is ready for battle

Extra changes

After realising that my robots ultrasonic sensor was too straight and not angled down far enough i pulled apart the sensor and added extra pieces to aim the sensor towards the ground about 20 cm away hopefully picking up any robot which are low to the ground.

Changes

I realised that when my robot drove it lurched forward which meant that it needed extra support added to the bottom so that my robot was kept level through out the battle. To fix this problem i have added two pieces either side of my robot so that it is kept level. there is one possible problem with this and it is that they the two front pieces may hook onto the edge of the ring when reversing back from detecting the outline.
